“La bohème” Stings Like It Happened Yesterday

He‘s a writer who uses his manuscripts for heat (in the furnace). She‘s beautiful as a flower—delicate and ephemeral. They are ill-fated lovers in Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème; arguably one of the most romantic works ever put to stage.

La bohème is the season opener for the Atlanta Opera, and continues through Sunday.

Italian soprano Maria Luigia Borsi sings the role of the seamstress Mimì and speaks with City Lights executive producer Noel Morris about the fun and the heartbreak in this opera.
